The Fire and the Moth explore the themes of smuggling and cultural artifacts in western Nigeria.
The upcoming crime drama is set in a harsh western Nigerian town. The Fire and the Moth follows how a desperate smuggler’s escape with a rare Ife bronze head sparks a violent upheaval, dragging the town into a maelstrom of corruption and brutality.
Tayo Faniran leads the crime drama, with Olarotimi Fakunle, Ini Dinma Okojie, William Chinoyenem, Ugoh Amanda, Dami Deremi, Kuchi Chris and Haitian actor, Jimmy Jean-Louis, among others set to appear.
The film is directed by Taiwo Egunjobi, produced by Eniola Fagbenle, and written by Isaac Ayodeji. Okwong Fadamana serves as the director of photography.
Sable Production is in a co-production partnership with Nemsia Studios and will yield the second motion picture, The Fire and the Moth. From their first collaboration, they released a movie called A Green Fever.
The Fire and the Moth will be released on Amazon Prime Video.
