Mothers of all ages with several challenges in their homes and secrets known to them alone, come to stand for a beauty pageant organized for women their age. With little knowledge about the competition, each of them give up their responsibilities as mothers to go the extra mile to win the competition. What will their homes become after this step has been taken?
Eka: "I've realized that what works for boyfriend does not necessarily work for marriage"
The sequel to the movie Gallant Mama is called "Corperate Mama". The movie has four parts: Gallant Mama part 1 and part 2 then Corperate Mama part 1 and part 2.

Predictable and cliched
-Story: [2 out of 5] I still can’t believe this is not an Uche Nancy movie… well… on second thought… I guess it’s believable. In as much as it does have all the basic elements of an Uche Nancy movie (fashion show, plenty SHOW) it is not as intensive on costume as an Uche Nancy movie would have been. Anyway, as regards the story behind the movie? Comme si, comme ca. To state it simply, the movie has two basic components: the story (Gallant Mama) and the fashion show (Corperate Mama) (now that I’m thinking of it, I don’t understand what the titles have to do with anything. Ok maybe Gallant mama is related to part 3 and 4 but part 3 and 4 are not called Gallant Mama… I tire). So you can decide what you want to see. The humor? Watch corperate mama. Or do you want to see the-almost-tear-inducing-if-done-better-DRAMA? Then watch Gallant mama
-Originality: [1 out of 5] I already split the movie into two above: the story and the fashion show. The only originality to the fashion show was in that it was neither Uche Nancy nor was it geared towards young females. And the originality in the drama was that it was multi-faceted (different stories in one movie)
-Predictability: [1 out of 5] The only thing I didn’t see coming was Patience’s character’s secret… as for the rest of the storyline? The soundtrack reveals it
-Directing/Editing: [1 out of 5] A movie in four parts with some arguably unnecessary scenes, some overly prolonged scenes, a couple shaky camera scenes and a camera with indecisive focus in some scenes… I rest my case.
-Acting quality: [2 out of 5] All the new actors/people with names that nobody else knows except their family and friends (and I say this in the nicest possible way…. not even trying to be rude here) could NOT act. I could not understand why Udolisa Uzoma was acting like someone who can not act. O boy I’ve seen you in other movies and you can do better… check yourself biko. Patience, Ngozi, and Camilla all did their roles justice. Each (excepting Mama G to a certain extent) stepped out of their usual stereotyped roles in this movie. I think Chacha is a good actress if she’d stop faking that accent that she keeps faking. Joyce did her role justice. And now Queen Wokoma. You might remember Queen as the ‘snake’ in “Twins on Fire“. To be honest, I’ve only ever seen her in the same roles so I’m not exactly in a position to say anything about how proficient of an actor she is. From what I’ve seen so far though, she does better work than the average new comer.
-Setting: [1 out of 5] Fashion show set is a bit mediocre
-Costume/Make-Up: [2 out of 5] Love Mama G’s new hairstyle… I think Queen needs more fabric on her skin… and.. yup everything else was on point
-Props and Graphics: [3 out of 5] Ok
-Video Quality: [4 out of 5] Good
-Audio Quality [3 out of 5] Not bad
-Soundtrack: [2 out of 5] Two different soundtracks: One tells the story before the movie even starts and the other tells the story as it is happening…. hmm…
-Musical Score: [3 out of 5] Nicely done
“But if mama leave him job dey do lipstick and wazzup o… family go scatter e”
“Mama Africa….Heavy mama
Dem head go scatter, when them see your swagger
