A LETTER FROM ADAM a contemporary story about love, loss and hope will draw audiences into a realistic cycle of life seen through the pain of loss, the journey of self discovery and the courage and strength to find hope in the face of adversity. Set in the busy yet simple city of Accra, A Letter From Adam seeks to give the audience an often neglected truth about love — that love doesn’t always come in the form one often expects it to.

The storyline and the chemistry between the actors
Romantic movies seem like the most basic genre but in reality making a good romantic movie is a true test of talent. If the movie, “a letter from Adam”, is any indication then the makers are truly talented.
A Letter from Adam is the story of Enima, played by Lydia Forson, a young lady who seems to make all the wrong choices in relationships and is at the brink of giving up on love. This is before she meets Adam. Adam, played by Wale Ojo, is an older man who has been married thrice before but still manages to sweep the young Enima off her feet.
The story develops initially as a romantic comedy with true comedic moments and beautiful comic timing from Lydia. By the climax, the emotional direction changes and it takes on a more serious and emotionally charging note.
The movie was able to accomplish this by a fine combination of beautiful writing, apt storytelling and competent acting skills. All the actors in the movie performed appropriately, but more than that, the emotions matched from actor to actor without disconnect. Lydia Forson brought the humor and emotions with Enima. You love her when she is at her highest and you fall in love at the same time that her character falls in love because of her performance. Wale Ojo is simply splendid and timeless as Adam. His poise combined with his great command of grammar will have even the younger ladies swooning. Beyond that though, Ojo commanded the character so it was definitely believable. The coupling of Naa Ashokor Mensah Doku and Fred Kanebi was also very fluid.
The storyline is very reminiscent of “Love Regardless” but even though both stories are similar enough, they are still quite unique individually. The movie is an entertaining watch and flows fluidly regardless of the use of silence.
