-Story: [5 out of 5] Hmm… something is happening in the Adams’ family o… it’s all about to blow up now… (do you see me desperately attempting to not give too much away?)
-Originality: [3 out of 5] Good
-Predictability: [3 out of 5] Well… some things we can tell though
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] I noticed something o… so here it goes. (You might wanna pull out your calculator for this one sha) So according to the movie, Mrs. Adams had Albert when she was 16. She is 58 now (how do I know this? It’s come up a couple of times within the movie). Albert is therefore 42 (plug it in and check quick quick… cos we’re going in). Now, the movie now says “39 years ago” and a young Mrs. Adams is sitted with Vivian Achor discussing her ‘son’ who at this time has already been given away. The context of the discussion lets us in to the fact that Mr. Adams has also already found out about this ‘son’ that was hidden from him and has already moved from the house. From previous chapters we know that when Mr. Adams moved from the house, he went to a hotel and Mrs. Adams came to the hotel to meet him in order to beg him to move back to the house that people were bullying ‘Baaba’. Enter Baaba. Realize that Baaba is the second daughter of the Adams’. Before Baaba came Jennifer (have I lost you yet? Don’t worry… we’ll tie it all together in a minute). So 39 years ago from Mrs. Adams current age of 58 she was already married, had already birthed both Baaba and Jennifer and she’s just…. 19? (check my math on that calculator of yours abeg). Even if that’s probable. We must now remember that I said that Baaba was being bullied in school. For a child to get bullied and be affected by it they must be at least what… 5yrs old? So imagine Baaba is 5 and Jennifer is maybe 6 or something… meaning Mrs. Adams had been married for 6 years at the age of 19. Which means she got married at 13? But… she had the kid at 16?
And then Vivian’s character said Albert was born ’13 years ago’ (note that this is 13 years ago from the afore mentioned 39 years ago making it a total of 52 years ago right?). But Mrs. Adams is only… 58! Let’s even imagine that when I heard 58 was when I was sipping palm wine so I heard wrong… maybe they had said 68. Even if I mistook that 68 for 58 in all the past chapters, why did Mrs. Adams keep saying that she birthed Albert 40 years ago? Which would mean that she had him at the age of 28 (still following our 68 presumption, that is). I excused the inconsistencies from the ’40 years ago’ when I thought she was 58 because 58-40 is 18 and she actually had him at 16 but it’s excusable. However, 68-40 is 28 and when she actually had him at 16? Wouldn’t it make more sense to say she lost him some ’50 years ago’?
By the way… Jennifer’s character is currently 34 and the flashback presumes her existence 39 years ago which must mean that she was ‘negative 5 years old’ back then?
Yup! I just blew your mind… but most of all I think I’m the most shocked cos I was always of the opinion that Shirley could do no wrong… this just re-enforces the fact that we are all humans and … “everybody makes mistake”‘. Still love Shirley though
-Acting quality: [4 out of 5] Joselyn is killing it more and more but everyone was amazing. Roselyn Ngissah though… that girl is underrated
-Setting: [5 out of 5] Beautiful
-Costume/Make-Up: [5 out of 5] Amazing

-Soundtrack: [5 out of 5] Loved loved loved Efya’s “Little Things” (even though for the most part, I didn’t understand what she was saying when she spoke Twi)

john dumelo was recently interviewed and he said i quote ” the person i want to squeeze is joselyn dumas, i worked with her in adams apples but not directly. i am hoping to work with very soon”. u see how the woman is giving people ‘daymares’ and ‘nightmares’ in the movie industry in ghana.

oh yes, people were disappointed when it ended. shirley put a survey on fb asking if they should continue, and the response was good. joselyn dumas let it slip in an interview that the chapters will continue. i dont think she can say that as she is not directing nor producing, so that means shirley has spoken to them

I so much love adams apples and really wish this series will never end. And oh! i thought our very own MJ had some serious curves but man check out Joselyn Dumas curves. that womans body is a killer. i think joselyn body beats MJ. Hands Down!!!

I noticed that too. I wonder how they didn’t catch that. I guess no one is perfect. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed 1-9 with 7 being my favourite. Really looking forward to seeing 10. I wish there were more chapters because I can’t get enough. Would love to see Gerald and Jennifer together. As for Baaba, the least said, the better. She’s beyond blind.
