Reluctantly, Ugo agrees to become the leader of the land and leave behind his past life in America as well as his fiancee . In no time, he is handed a list of things required of him if he is to become king and amongst them is the necessity that he marries a wife. Not just any wife, but the woman who wins the dance contest. A lot of maidens, eligible and even the non-eligible (engaged) ones, risk it all for the dance and are willing to do anything to be the next queen of the land. What will happen with the prince and his fiancee? Who will win the dance? Who will be the next queen of the land?

-Story: [3 out of 5] I really enjoyed this movie and believe from the depth of my heart that it is a very likable movie, not just for females who want to die over Yul Edochie’s hotness but also for guys who want to tumble over for Mercy Johnson’s cuteness…lol jk. The storyline in itself is enticing and it was worked to near perfection
-Originality: [2 out of 5] Originality-wise it is one of the first to fully focus on the dancing aspect but then again it brings a little flavor of your typical Nigerian movie about University students with your typical Patience Ozokwor movie and then the usual Mercy Johnson stunts. However, it can be called original in a way but it definitely isn’t new or old.
-Predictability: [2 out of 5] I actually had a pretty shaky time predicting this one because in the beginning I was like, “oh! he’ll break up with her in the end” and then half way through I rethink it then I rethink my rethink. Then I rethink the rethink of my rethink… let’s just say it was ALMOST A RIDE
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] I was about to finish this movie on a perfect note from directing and editing until I noticed a little discrepancy. Now, make una no jump me oh! But this character named Juliet was supposedly getting married in 1 month according to what I heard in the part 2 of A dance for the prince. Then suddenly in “Save the Last Dance” she is just getting engaged. Pardon me, but uhm…. WHAT?
-Acting quality: [3 out of 5] The general acting in this movie was impeccable until someone decided to introduce the character named EKENE, (real name Olisadebe Chike, photo on the left). This dude can not act for shit, I mean… I felt like he was reading the script back to me. And when he actually tried to act, it was sooo bad that I found myself praying that he would return to his former delight in re-reading the script in the name of acting. I know most times I come off really harsh but it’s all for the best. It’s not like I seriously delight in bringing people down or anything…lol
-Setting and Costume: [2 out of 5] On point. Some think Ini’s make up was too much. That one is those people’s businesses.
-Video and Audio Quality [3 out of 5] Good
-Soundtrack [2 out of 5] The soundtrack was good but not impeccable.
