Deepest of Dreams
Geraldine Ekeocha, Majid Michel, Omotola Jolade-Ekehinde, Prince Eke, Tonto Dikeh
-Story: [4 out of 5] I really liked the story because not only was it different, it was captivating, interesting and moving. It’s a movie that everyone would want to see.
-Originality: [3 out of 5] Tres originale
-Predictability: [3 out of 5] I loved the fact that just at the point when we thought that we had the movie and knew what was going to happen it switches gears and I am not talking about one of those random twists and turns in African movies that just confuses us all. Not predictable, but still a feel good movie
-Directing/Editing: [3 out of 5] Good
-Acting quality: [4 out of 5] You know, when it comes to Nollywood, there are some established facts that everyone knows for instance Van Vicker is eye candy, Tchidi Chikere can direct, and Sammie Okposo can sing. This movie re-emphasized another well known fact in Nollywood for me, which is the fact that Omotola can act. Damn! That lady killed it. From the smirk on her face to her limp to her expressions, she just owned it. You could definitely tell that she was into the character and I must admit that it was phenomenal. After seeing movies like this, I wonder why people are so blinded by their traditionalism. How can anyone say that Tonto Dikeh can not act, after seeing her in different characters there is one thing that is for certain, the lady is dynamic in that she fits into many different characters very easily. She may act slutty roles but that is only one side of her. Don’t judge folks
-Setting and Costume: [3 out of 5] On Point. I have to congratulate the person responsible for Omotola’s scar. It was a job very well done. At some scenes, even though I was supposed to feel pity for Omosexy, I felt disgusted like the rest of the characters. You did good work and were able to keep it consistent for most of the movie.
-Video and Audio Quality [3 out of 5] The image was different for this movie but you could tell that it was a means to an end, the quality was good for the story and I didn’t have to keep my hands on the remote so it was all correct.
-Soundtrack [3 out of 5] Good
