Victims
Esther Audu, Joyce Kalu, Livinus Nnochiri, Majid Michel, Mercy Johnson, Paul Sambo, Uchenna Nnanna, Yul Edochie
-Story: [3 out of 5] If I were to sit you down in a ‘Tales by Moonlight’ format and tell you the story, I’m almost 100% sure that you’d be quite entertained.
-Originality: [2 out of 5] The first part about Majid is definitely very original, haven’t seen that storyline before. However, when they go into Mercy’s story and her husband’s predicament. Well… there’s something we’ve seen before
-Predictability: [2 out of 5] Uhm.. after Majid is arrested, I’ll be honest, I was pretty clueless about the direction of the movie. Not until towards the end of the 3rd part did I finally figure out the direction of the movie. Kudos to them for not making it so obvious, however, as soon as you figure it out, the movie becomes pretty predictable.
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] Honestly, I felt like most of the sex scenes…in fact all of them… were very UNNECESSARY! It almost felt like the director was trying to use sex to sell the movie. Just giving us a general idea and skipping scenes would have been great, no body needed to see Majid’s light skinned behind or him semi humping a 9 month pregnant woman on a teeny ward bed…disgusting! I felt like the entire last part could have been avoided had they just done a DNA test in the first scene. Save us all the stress. And as regards Mercy Johnson’s pregnancy. She is pregnant before the court case begins and then after a while (i.e couple of months) the court case ends and then they say 10 MONTHS LATER and yet M.J is still pregnant ??? This kind belle pass me o
-Acting quality: [3 out of 5] Acting! You know how some people call Shah Rukh Khan the king of bollywood (or maybe you don’t know), well… Majid is definitely the king of Ghallywood. Esther Audu is killing it. Really love her acting. In the beginning the extras were quite annoying especially the ashawo that forced Majid to sleep with her (I don’t remember her name but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen her in one of those useless Nollywood USA movies). Yul Edochie was and always is great. Paul Sambo is a good actor but he was also a tad bit awkward. Might need to get used to the camera a little bit more.
-Setting and Costume/Make-Up: [3 out of 5] Amazingly done
-Props and Graphics [2 out of 5] Whoever stuffed the first pregnant woman did a horrible job. Instead of looking like a pregnant woman she ended up looking like a chair.
-Video Quality [3 out of 5] On point. I especially love how they do not expect us to have extra special vision. I mean that their night scenes are clear unlike some other African movies.
-Audio Quality [2 out of 5] Noise elimination could use some work but besides that it was great.
-Soundtrack and Musical Score [3 out of 5] Great musical score. Soundtrack could use a lot of work.
You are so right, Majid is the King of Ghallywood. He’s so versatile and gives an outstanding performance.
Interesting movie.
