The AFRINOLLY SHORT-FILM COMPETITION is a Unique, Innovative and Youth-focused Competition, with singular concentration on the next generation of African film makers. This Competition is designed to expand the conversations on issues about the African continent by Africans, motivate and reward young and emerging filmmakers who exhibit exceptional narrative skills using short movies and documentary as a medium.
This competition is conceived entirely as an online challenge open to Africans from across the world creating or have created short films or/and documentary films of not more than 15 minutes. Participants are expected to upload their films to a dedicated Competition Website and the finalists would be decided by a panel of jury and public voting.
Our core objective is to empower African youths to tell their own stories from their own perspective and eliminate financial barriers to movies production. We look forward to ultimately creating a new generation of content providers in the Africa movie industry and facilitating business model based on sub-15 minutes contents.
This maiden edition of the AFRINOLLY SHORTFILM COMPETITION is in partnership with respected brands and organizations like MTN Nigeria, Blackberry, iRepresent International Documentary Film Festival, Goethe Institut and Google as Social Media Partner.

Below are a couple entries that I liked:
Starting with the absolute funniest:
If I did vote, I’d probably vote for this one
..or this one
Thanx for watching and supporting the HomeVida productions ENITAN & TO SERVE WITH ALL OUR STRENGTH. Both film were a joy to work on and I’m happy to see them go this far. Here’s hoping one of them wins the Afrinolly competition. The Nigerian Integrity Film Awards (HOMEVIDA) is a media and awards platform towards driving creative messaging on value change, anti-corruption and national reformation through the home video channel to the Nigerian population. For other HomVida productions, please visit their youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKr_PIqCJwghMO135XobJ9w
I voted for Dance with the Devil…i just had to and i watched all the other entries before voting. but it was just that one, soo many things to take from it. Jayson’s hope and Enitan was really good too plus Dara ju?.
But personally the documentary category was the best – very strong entries. I voted for The Deadwood. It’s a current problem both developing and developed countries are finding hard to tackle. We are all going to be there one day – if we are blessed to live that long. It was soo touching and an eye opener, just had to vote for that one. shame you can only vote once though.
some really great stuff, I can see future film producers and entertainers. Best of luck to all of them.
Tried watching Dance with the devil and jayson’s hope after to serve with but my heart was already with to serve with so there was no point
I liked the message behind most but to serve with had a message I could relate to strongly plus good acting so… yeah
Didn’t see any of the documentaries though… I probably should
mmmmh good point… fair enough 😀
oooooh, check the documentary category, it’s really good
NR, To Serve with….is my pick hands down.
God, I have been in this kind of situation how many times. My vein was almost popping watching it. I like the message. Especially the other uses of a mobile phone. Yes it is high time we use them devices for more impt things than uploading pix of ourselves.
I loved Enitan. Maybe not as well acted but it touches a topic that is least understood in the educational lanscape.
I liked Philia a lot too. Philia’s voice is all kinds of sexy. I don’t think I like the final message of ‘that he should bribe his way into obtaining a citizenship cos he’s done it before’. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Of all your picks, it had the best actors.
The Promise is a fluff piece joo.
I couldnt be bothered with voting before but i am signing on now.
Exactly! I ended up voting for “To Serve With”. After I saw that one, there was no point watching any other.
I loved the promise too but there was no way I was voting for it… but it was lovely.
Yes oh! Please vote, so that the message behind “To Serve With” will get around
