I am Prince Akudo, the heir to the throne. Talk of money, women and servants I had it all at my beck and call. No woman seems to please me, they were all in for the fame and money. Talk of respect for women, I had none. Nancy took me to a different level on how to treat women. I fought the feelings I developed for her because I do not want to be considered weak. The more I fight the more I see the qualities she has over the women I once dated.

Too long
The eternal prince, Yul Edochie, returns in yet another attempt at a royal love story alongside the relentless Mercy Johnson, the igbotic Charles Okocha, the one and only Mama G and Mr. Clems Ohameze.
The movie revolves around an arrogant prince and his escapades, or should I say sexcapades, until he eventually meets a Senator’s daughter whom he falls heads over heels in love for and is determined to get at all cost.
So like you’ve probably guessed the story is not much on originality. What I don’t understand is why the movie will take 2.5 hours just for exposition. Honestly, y’all could have squashed those 2.5 parts into a 10 minutes expo and moved on with your life. And unlike some long movies where it seems they want you to get well acquainted with the characters, or the more corny alternative ‘fall in love with the characters’, this had no such effect. It was an array of unnecessarily prolonged scenes, unnecessary dialogues, unnecessary cars driving out of houses, driving on roads, arriving at destination, coming out of the car scenes. Fact is nobody needs to see all that.
One thing, out of the million and one other things, that irked me a little more than usual was the rose petals. How do you come to someone’s house and start throwing rose petals on the floor all in the name of royalty? And I was looking after that scene to see whether or not they’d pick it up. But nobody picked it up, they just got back in their car and drove off. If that was me, you wouldn’t get past the gate until you swept it.
But back to the movie…. This is probably the first time ever, but there were a couple scenes here and there where it seemed Mercy Johnson was over acting. I don’t know if it was just her or the annoying-ness of her character, at least in the first few scenes.
Yul and that facial expression of his that he does when he is vexed or ‘deep in thought’ is becoming quite irritating to be honest. I think the thing is I can’t stand Yul in antagonistic roles, but loverboy Yul definitely has my heart.
Most of the extras in this movie were simply terrible actors. I can’t possibly state that any kinder… they couldn’t do it. Simple and short.
Another thing that got me is how this prince is supposed to be so wealthy (afterall his name is Akudo) paying $2K to shut down a club, buying everyone’s groceries at the mart, and buying his love interest a $6k necklace yet his own car has the in-built TV, how do you say, broken off. See pic below
I missed this place 🙂
I see you changed the interface, I love the new look. Great job
Yes o! We changed earlier this year, back in January. Thanks J 🙂
