The 30 year old actor started his journey into showbiz as a model, he eventually transitioned into music until 2006 when he went into the AMBO house (Amstel Malta Box Office), and one can say ‘just like that a star was born’.
Even though he didn’t win the second season of AMBO, he has since been in many Nollywood productions such as Fatal Imagination and Sweet Tomorrow, with the most popular of all having been “Two Brides and a Baby“.
Since ‘Two Brides and a Baby’, Mr. Uzoeshi’s career seems to be going nowhere else but up as he has now worked with big directors like Charles Novia in the upcoming ‘Alan Poza‘, and Teco Benson again in ‘Blood In the Lagoon‘
In the spotlight is a feature segment on NR that highlights hidden talents in Nollywood. If you have a suggestion for future I.T.S posts, please leave a comment.
Oh, this dude. He’s really cute tho. And all the comments are correct He’s one of the most believable actors I see in this their new nollywood.
Okey Uzoeshi is one of the most talented and underappreciated actors we have in Nollywood and its good he’s being noticed. He is an actor not a movie star and i mean that in a good way.He is like the Daniel Day-Lewis,Meryl Streep,Denzel,Al Pacino of our industry who just want to be great actors and known for their craft and not fame. This fine actor will definitely have longeivity in this industry and beyond.WATCHOUT!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn’t Omoni’s boyfriend in Sweet tomorrow. I think he has great potential and is finally getting his deserved attention
yaaaaay!!!! fine boy.
Much respect to this dude! He was amazing in Two Brides and I hear awesome stories frm Alan Poza, I see the Real Actors in nollywood are finally standing up. This is one actor whose career ill be following closely.
Oh jeez! Finally someone is paying attention to an actor who is in a class of his own! Mr Uzoeshi is a brilliant actor! Everytime I see him on screen I am blown away by how natural, how fluid and how believeable his acting is. This is good, cos personally I’m tired of seein all these “glamazons” who come on screen to show us how good they look and how impeccably they dress, being celebrated as “actors” thumbs up NR!
