Facade
Wole Ojo, Kehinde Bankole, Nomoreloss, David Mackenzie, Sylvia Oluchi, Big Tony
A civil servant desires to make a change for himself and his society but he is faced with a lot of challenges. The odds were against him when he was fingered for murder and lost his wife at about the same time but he struggled all the same and when he finally succeeded, he found out that things are not what they seem.

Production quality
The most revealing part of watching this movie was when the end credits came around and you realize that the movie was made in 2012. It is much easier to be forgiving of all the things done wrong in this movie when you consider the year of production (although, I’d like to argue that even then this is poor production – but I’m going to keep that to myself).
Facade is the story of a civil servant going through rough times and coming across a lot of red tape whenever he attempts to move forward. Then all of a sudden things start to change for him with a hint of the supernatural. He does not completely understand what is going on until all is finally revealed to him.
The movie, Facade, on the surface has the makings of a beautifully different film, however, the reality is much different from this. There is what we would consider a solid cast – consisting of Wole Ojo, Kehinde Bankole and Sylvia Oluchy – but what they do with the cast is nothing solid at all. The real star of this movie, performance-wise, was definitely Sylvia. She stole the scene in every frame and you can tell the identity of her character by her performance. A close second was Kehinde Bankole, the real performance was required of her towards the end and she definitely showed up. Wole Ojo in this movie has me confused. If I had not recently seen “3 is company“, I would be doubting his acting abilities. However, we will chuck this one up to poor production, weak character development and 2012.
The production of the movie has too many commas in it, from the audio to the effects that are supposed to be thrilling the movie just repeatedly fails and fails again. The most amusing part was when we first meet “The Voice”. I assume the identity of the voice was supposed to be a secret but the moment you hear it you know whose voice it is. At this point you begin to wonder whether they intended to use that cast member as the voice or they just could not afford an extra actor to play the voice. The sad part is that the latter seemed like a very viable answer considering the production quality.
The storyline of this movie progresses fairly enough but the best part of the movie only comes in 30 minutes towards the end. Then the question arises, do you want to sit through one and a half hours of a ‘meeehhhh’ production just to get to the 30 minutes of ‘ok’ storyline at the end?
