Again Congratulations to all the Nollywood NOMINEES!!!!
having said that… congrats to Demola Adedoyin on ur nomination… i don dey wonder who u offend before…. u deserve a win bro…
well, the list is out and i think its cool…. but i still have some reservations on y i am seeing some embarazzing films being nominated. Av bin privileged to see atleast 70% of the nominated films from nigeria and am so shocked as to why some of them are being selected for the prestigious 2015 AMAA AWARDS… I am personally calling for a review (even though i know say una no go ansa me, i sure say person dey ask “who is dis guy”)… I believe the amaa awards labelled as the AFRICAN OSCARS is meant for african films that have shown very outstanding acheivement in motion picture and noting less… I have seen some nigerian films that i hold no reservations against as to their nominations..(i must mention names oo bcos as dey say, “lets give honour to whom honour is due”).. e.g OCTOBER 1,(although i doubt if 2 million dollars was really spent on it oo as uncle k claims), KPAINS (*coughs* stanlee, u r really good at wat u do… u deserve a win in ur category), TIMBUKTU (say dem nominate dis one for ACADEMY AWARDS ALONE is enough)… etc… now, let me get to my point, without sugarcoting, WAT D HELL IS INVATION 1897 DOING IN DIS LIST???, (to make it worse, na ACHIEVEMENT IN VISUAL EFFECT una see put dis film??? loooooool….) outstanding!!!… dats not enough, una come make am worse by putting dis same film in the BEST NIGERIAN FILM category with films like KPAINS and RUN?? like for real!!!!!… i think amaa should plssss take down dat film frm d list bcos of future credibility sake!… Cj’s OJUJU is the only accepted replacement for that category… and am schocked to my bone marrow y the hell OJUJU wasnt nominated for not even 1 caregory… i smell dirty freaking politics… plsssss amaa, dont mess up dis striving industry wit dis awards…. honesty is an important virtue ooo…. if anybody wan vex for dis writeup, plsss feel free to go and baf ontop transformer… as a very good friend of mine will say in my local language and i quote and translate ‘WAT IS NOT GOOD IS NOT GOOD, IT DOESNT HAVE ANODA NAME OO’…..
Lmaaaoooooo I love what you did there “congratulations to all the nollywood nominees”. We know the amaa and all the other African awards are about nothing but nollywood. And you and I know that, the best award winning films don’t come from Nigeria. Talk Kenya, south Africa, Sudan et al but hey, nollywood create the awards so it’s the “nollywood show”.
It’s a Nollywood show, yet a South African film has the highest nominations. Why don’t some people think though?
Award winning movies? Kenya? LOL. JOKE
