[dropcap]Q[/dropcap] – Before every other actor started turning into a producer, you were one of the first to do so. Also, at the time that you became a producer there were not as many female producers (at least, those that were well known). How did you make the decision to become the producer of your own movies? And did you face any peculiar challenges being an actor turned producer or being a female producer at the time?
[dropcap]A[/dropcap]: The part 3 movies we were making was slowly turning into part 4 or more. I got tired of it all and I was missing the time when we told our stories in one movie.

I just said to myself that that is where I want to go back to. Investing back into Nollywood is what actors should at some point do.
Of course I had some people who thought it was a bad idea at that point but my mind was made up. Plus there’s always going to be challenges in productions regardless of your gender but i think being a woman makes you not want to fail at all.
16 self produced movies later I still think it was the best decision I have ever made for my career.
