Friendly Scorpion
Mike Ezuruonye, Omotola Jolade-Ekehinde, Rukky Sanda, Solomon Akiyesi, Tessy Oragwa
-Story: [2 out of 5] In as much as I really liked the story, it had the capacity to irritate me because I solidly believed that this movie could have been rounded up in one and a half parts at most. Save me time abeg and save me money.
-Originality: [1 out of 5] All I have to say is that the story is not a very original one. The role of Rukky Sanda has been played by the likes of Liz Benson, Patience Ozokwor, Camilla Mberekpe and many others in many movies before.
-Predictability: [0 out of 5] Thanks to combined efforts from the movie title and the movie’s soundtrack, this movie has to be the most predictable movie I have seen all month. Even before seeing the movie or its trailer, I already knew the story. Hence, the reason why I was hesitant about watching it.
-Directing/Editing: [3 out of 5] On point
-Acting quality: [3 out of 5] You know what they say about rumors right?(… Do you know? Because me, I definitely don’t) But anyways, a lot of people (well naija gossip sites to be precise) are always chopping on Rukky Sanda whenever she attends a Nigerian Movie social event (i.e movie premiers and what not). I have seen comments like, “Why is this lady everywhere, it’s not like she can even act besides when was the last time she acted sef?” – Anonymous. To drive my point home, here is a picture with (from left to right) Rukky Sanda, Denrele Edun and Uche Iwuji at God-only-knows-what social event. Anyways to all those people, Rukky has proven you guys wrong in this movie because turns out that the lady can act. And she does a mean job at it, if I do say so myself (and YES, I do say so myself).
-Setting and Costume: [3 out of 5] I was in love with Omosexy’s outfits in this movie. I want to know who made them, where I can order mine, how fast I can have them delivered and what not because those outfits were gorgeous (either that or just my love for one handed dresses).
-Video and Audio Quality [0 out of 5] I had a lot of problems with this movie’s audio quality because at certain points during a conversation, the actual dialogue was inaudible. All I heard was the music that was supposed to play beneath the dialogue (however, it is possible that this only happened in my own copy of the movie. And if so then please feel free to redistribute points as you deem fit). Second wahala for me was that I had to keep my hands on the volume control because some times the audio just went silent and I had to turn my volume all the way up and when the audio returns I had to turn it right back down.
-Soundtrack [0 out of 5] I really did NOT like the soundtrack to this movie, mainly because it told the story (that is, it told the rest of the story that the title did not tell).
I am watching this movie right now and I was like why don’t i drop by and see what was said about it? Its funny because the other day I watched lovedLorn and you were bashing rukky lol ( by the way i really enjoy reading your review…). But 30 mn into this movie and i was like, wow this girl can really act. people are really being mean to her.so sad.

Yeah, lol… I don’t know o! It’s as if the girl chooses which movies to ACT in and which movies to just APPEAR in. Lol and thanks again dear
