-Story: [1 out of 5] For me the story kept fluctuating in different part between being utterly stupid and ‘blonde’ and actually being interesting for a couple of minutes. I guess that’s the disadvantage of having so many parts, your story looses track and focus. But if you can’t hold your audience for the length of the movie, then I say it’s time to go back to the drawing board.
-Originality: [2 out of 5] *SPOILER* I’d say little aspects of the movie were original and different like her desire to not want to get pregnant until she’s situated in her career. That’s not exactly something you see in every other Nollywood movie. The accommodating rich in laws was definitely also different and things like that. But when it comes to Eve stealing Tonto’s man it was definitely not original in that aspect.
-Predictability: [2 out of 5] Little details within the movie like the ultimatums and finding the love of his life were very much predictable and the general picture as well as regards how the story would end, I would think, was pretty obvious from the start. But the little twists within the story could be said to arguably have their own… spontaneity/unpredictability.
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] I had little qualms here and there. But they are justified I promise like for one… Amaechi’s wife says to him “Oh! Do you remember this thing that happened 12 years ago?” and he immediately responds with “Ah! I remember”. I’m like WHAT! It wasn’t even a life changing event. Are you kidding me? How does an old man remember something that happened so long ago so quickly and something so trivial too? I can’t remember past 3 days and I’m supposed to believe that a 50 something year old chairman of a billion naira empire, remembers trivial details that happened more than a decade ago. My second qualm was the dialogues. In the first 2 parts, the dialogues were just… awkward. And I strongly believe that some of the conflicts in the second part of the movie was really not half as serious or dramatic as it was made out to be. Like the most trivial thing was stretched out for an unwarranted amount of scenes before it was resolved. And finally what I don’t get was when Tonto was trying to call the cops on Van’s character. I mean… You’re calling the ‘cops’ in Nigeria on a guy who is richer than you? 3 key words in this… “cops” “Nigeria” “richer”.
-Acting quality: [2 out of 5] All the extras couldn’t act. Van Vicker… well I can’t complain cos I’d take Van Vicker over Artus Frank anyday. In the beginning, Tonto’s performance was a bit weak and bleh! But once the action started she got right into it. Whoever played the younger Van Vicker was such a horrible actor. And whoever played the younger Tonto Dikeh is really going to go a long way in the industry.
-Setting and Costume/Make-Up: [2 out of 5] Joyce Kalu’s weaves in the beginning were really tacky, I mean I could see her own hair under the weave. Most people in this movie were just breaking laws of grammar left right and center. Tonto said “OMG! She stopped breeting” lmao… I don die, all na grammar.
-Props and Graphics [3 out of 5] On Point
-Video Quality [3 out of 5] Good
-Audio Quality [3 out of 5] Good
-Soundtrack and Musical Score [3 out of 5] Kinda sort of tells the story but it tells it after the story has been told so I don’t think it counts against it.
It depends on d husband if he can wait bt if he can’t there’s no need waitn 4 d career.
