-Story: [3 out of 5] It’s definitely a lovely story.
-Originality: [0 out of 5] This movie is a remake of the 1993 movie, “Indecent Proposal”, starring Demi Moore. They ripped almost every aspect of the 1993 film from story to props, however, thankfully they added an original strip in Khareema’s character. Then again, it seems like the norm to always add a minor storyline to all ripped movies as is evident from Frank Rajah movies. I used to get really irritated by movie remakes and used to call it thieving until I actually sat and thought about it and realized that in reality there’s nothing wrong with it as long as you get the rights to remake it… which this movie did not.
REASSESSED: Apparently, thanks to a comment, I just realized that Khareema’s character itself was not even original. It was a rip of Jennifer Lopez’s “The Back up Plan”. From plotlines to dialogues it was all ripped. The only difference is that the guy in the back up plan was actually better looking. lol. This movie don fall my hand finish.
-Predictability: [2 out of 5] Not the most predictable movie ever made unless you’ve seen the ones it was ripped from
-Directing/Editing: [1 out of 5] I’d like to think that the picture on the left speaks for itself (i.e the wet patch). The camera man in this movie was horri…. well, let’s just say he wasn’t using any of the right angles. They say the camera adds 10 pounds but this camera man successfully added 50 to all the actors and actresses, Jackie Appiah’s yams never looked so huge. Who is the person that cast Khareema alongside that Nana guy? He looked like her son as opposed to her boyfriend!
-Acting quality: [1 out of 5] Early in the movie, I thought “Wow! This Gardiner guy can really act” and then the scenes progressed and I wanted to stone him. Alright, the fact is that the guy is not entirely horrible but I believe that he is currently unready for such a huge role as the male protagonist. He lost consistency from scene to scene and seemed to be fluctuating from strong to weak to horrible to mildly weak performances. He would do better with smaller roles so that he can build on his skills. All in all, he is not terrible but it’s not yet time for him to play Jackie Appiah’s husband. The extras could barely act. I was annoyed by Blessing most of the time. I don’t know if it was because of her acting or her hair or her clothes? Is John Dumelo married to Jackie Appiah in this movie? No! However, we thank God for his presence… at least to reduce the frustration brought about by the other ‘actors’. All in all, this movie would have been ground breaking with better actors (let’s say we substitute Gardiner for Ramsey or something)
-Setting and Costume: [2 out of 5] The setting was generally on point. However, the costumes…. Who gives a 9 month old pregnant lady, a tight fitting mini dress to wear? Not to mention most of the clothes Blessing Asibe were outrageously unfit for her body type, what am I saying? Most of the clothes on all the female characters were simply out of place (emphasis on Blessing and Khareema). And what was up with Blessing’s hair?
-Video and Audio Quality [2 out of 5] You need to keep your hand on the volume button for this movie because at many scenes the volume goes down. It’s like the actors forget that they are acting and that someone is actually trying to hear what they’re saying so even if they reduce their voice, nobody said they should go mute.
-Soundtrack [3 out of 5] The music for this movie was by someone called BISA and I must say that it was a pretty amazing job. Job well done!
Khareema’s character is entirely a rip off Jennifer Lopez’s movie ,the back up plan from meeting a strange guy in the cab to getting artificially inseminated!!! Same lines and everything!!! It is disgusting
