Adams Apples: Torn
Anima Misa Amoah, Joselyn Dumas, Yvonne Okoro, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, Adjetey Anang, John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Roselyn Ngissah
Five different people dash marathon-style towards an emergency room, one after the other, to open up a new chapter in the busy lives of the Adams. Jennifer plays the good friend as she accompanies Linda to a doctor's appointment. She is rewarded with the charming Dr. Nate. Who knows? This gentleman just might be Mr. Right, instead of that school boy whom she believes "seems to have evaporated into thin air." The vengeful Ivy however teaches Jennifer she might have spoken too soon, when she ambushes her with an unbelievable scandalous story! An unplanned rendezvous the night before destroys Kukua's chances with Denu, just as they are about to take the step that could wipe away the past and bring them together for good.
This is the fourth part of Shirley Frimpong's 10 part series. So... Adams Apples Chapter 4

-Story: [5 out of 5] The story keeps getting better. Twist after twist, turn after turn. Just when you think it can’t get any better…. BOOM! Majid Michel comes on the screen.
-Originality: [3 out of 5] Correct me if I’m wrong but I say that there’s nothing else like Adams Apples
-Predictability: [4 out of 5] Even the most basic facets of this movie still manage to skip me. I was wondering for the longest time what the relationship between Anima Misa’s character and Adjetey’s was and the obvious seemed to have skipped me in totality. Ofcourse there are many more twists but I refuse to ruin the experience for you (You are welcome! 😀 )
-Directing/Editing: [5 out of 5] three words: Shirley Frimpong Manso
-Acting quality: [4 out of 5] Cameo by Majid Michel in his absence I’d say that Yvonne Okoro and Joselyn Dumas seemed to me to be the strongest actors. As the series goes by, I have begun to doubt Anima Misa, don’t get me wrong. She can act. That is a given but she doesn’t seem very strong. In most other movies one complains of actresses that are just incapable of acting but when everyone can act you begin to notice those who really aren’t as strong as the rest… i.e Adjetey’s daughter’s character and her boyfriend. John Dumelo did as John Dumelo does (this has become my regular commentary on his acting skills it seems) however, he was actually a bit more interesting in this movie. Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku who I had developed a penchant to rant about her beauty and her talent did not seem so amazing after all to me in the beginning… she eventually made it up. (Is it just me or did she add weight between chapters? Maybe I need my glasses…). This movie reminded me of why I liked Adjetey and I definitely needed reminding after all that rubbish in “Losing You” I guess the director really does bring out the best in the actors.
-Setting: [5 out of 5] Amazing
-Costume/Make-Up: [5 out of 5] Amazing attention to detail
-Props and Graphics: [2 out of 5] Car crash was very unrealistic
-Video Quality: [4 out of 5] Great
-Audio Quality [4 out of 5] Great
-Soundtrack: [5 out of 5] Loved it
-Musical Score: [5 out of 5] …sent from heaven. Especially since I’ve become so picky about musical score as it seems most movies have forgotten how to do this element right.
Awesome movie….can’t wait to see the other chapters. Yes, you’re right, they need to work on distribution in the US.
