‘Death After Birth’is a gripping story of how fate decides destiny, and how it takes a lot of courage and strength to fight back. A pretty girl, Zynell (Jackie Appiah), is born into the world by ill-fated circumstance. The brutality, hatred and sexual assault were more than she could bear. To help write a book in memory of such a sour journey through the world, she invites to the prison where she found herself, Father Damian whom she unravels the episodes of the story of her ‘Death after Birth’.
Death after Birth part 1 and 2.

-Story: [3 out of 5] Somewhere along this story line it would not be far fetched to think that most people will pause and think… “well, this movie isn’t half as amazing as it was hyped to be. This is sad but it’s about to get boring” all I have to say is hold out for a little while
-Originality: [3 out of 5] One might be tempted to think, “Hello? A cry for help” and to a certain extent, yes this movie is a bit reminiscent of Nkiru Sylvanus’ “a cry for help”…….But this movie is so far from it, all I have to say is that you honestly really just have to wait for the end. Don’t judge too soon.
-Predictability: [4 out of 5] I kept thinking through out the movie, “Ha! I have the ending nailed… bring. it. on” but I had forgotten… I had forgotten one little detail from the beginning of the movie. One little detail from before any character came on screen, before the lyrics joined the music. I had forgotten the producer. This is a Pascal Amanfo movie and darling, you do NOT predict a Pascal Amanfo movie. Never!
-Directing/Editing: [3 out of 5] Good
-Acting quality: [2 out of 5] I spent the longest time wondering if the acting for this movie should be a 3 or a 4 I mean between Kalsum’s over acting, Jackie Appiah’s underacting and most other character’s apparent lack of any acting skill whatsoever, no one will wonder why I was stumped. Eddie Watson does not really seem to be getting any better to me, I can’t however tell if he is getting worse or he’s still at the same 4 Play Reloaded stage. Jackie Appiah is a good actress however she was not strong enough for her role. Kalsum Sinare simply came on too strong in her first scene which ruined the entire “Sinare experience” for me.
-Setting and Costume/Make-Up: [2 out of 5] On Point however the band aid on Jackie’s lower lip was loose for the most part of the first scene and the viewer can see that it’s really not holding back anything and is serving no purpose.
-Props and Graphics [3 out of 5] On Point
-Video Quality [3 out of 5] Good job
-Audio Quality [2 out of 5] Did seem to get too loud occassionally
-Soundtrack and Musical Score [4 out of 5] Bernie Anti is tooooo good
