-Story: [3 out of 5] Lovely story. Like, “Caught in the Act“, it calls into play the whole twin scenario again alongside the Amnesia storyline. It seems those two were an integral part of 2008 movies.
-Originality: [2 out of 5] In one way or another you can argue for both sides. You can argue its originality and its lack thereof. The whole twin and amnesia aspect has definitely been done before as I noted in ‘story’, but the general framework of the movie is original
-Predictability: [2 out of 5] Comme ci, comme ca (same as originality)
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] Basic general editing problems originating from the fact that none of the many grammatical errors were edited out. The opening credits were way too long. No apparent cinematography whatsoever. And the end of the movie seemed like a lazy man’s way out of an over twisted scenario
-Acting quality: [3 out of 5] Genevieve gave a stellar performance as usual. It was a breathe of fresh air to see Jim as a good boy. In my opinion, he looks so much better in these roles than the overly dramatized bad boy, America returnee roles he usually plays. Kalu Ikeagwu gave an amazing rendition as the ‘fourth’ leg in this love triangle (… don’t think too much about it, it makes sense in my head). All the extras sucked…. very very badly. Tonto Dikeh o dear Tontolet. Some very very major grammatical flaws all over the place. After seeing her struggle with English in the movie, “Garden of Love and tears“, I’m of the opinion that it’s best if she just sticks to roles like “Tattoo girls” unless she gets a director as good as Moses Inwang again (see “Private Enemy“). It’s just embarrassing to her and the movie when grammatical flaws like this are excused:
“The few times we spent together, the memories we shared… it’s like deja voir”
-Setting: [3 out of 5] Ok
-Costume/Make-Up: [3 out of 5] No major fault… I was highly amused by the fact that Genevieve was smoking whilst wearing a shirt that said clearly “Smoking Kills”
-Props and Graphics: [3 out of 5] On Point
-Video Quality: [3 out of 5] Ok
-Audio Quality [1 out of 5] Up and down a lot
-Soundtrack: [0 out of 5] …sent from the pits of hell
-Musical Score: [2 out of 5] Ok
NR, nne m, rapu Tontolet na bekee ya (NR, my dear, leave Tontolet and her English). It is not English ooo but Tontish (yes, some English is in but the rest is her own make up LOL!!!) But I liked the movie because as we know by now, hopeless romantic here. Genny did justice to her two roles. Kalu Ikeagwu’s character made me fall in love with Kalu Ikeagwu. And when I found out that he was Igbo, I knew that if he came to meet my mother, there will be no objections whatsoever. Good movie!
