-Story: [1 out of 5] In my opinion, this movie has one of those surreal & extremely unrealistic story lines (especially for the 21st century). And this storyline is usually sold with the ‘this is Africa! Anything goes’ line that is characteristic of Ghallywood movies stolen from Bollywood movies…
-Originality: [1 out of 5] …the only thing is that I’ve seen most Ghallywood movies (and by most, I mean all those worth seeing) and I do not recall any specific movie with this storyline. If you do then let me know, I’ll watch it and readjust the review. But judging the movie specifically based off of it’s own. It’s still the same usual motifs with a bit of a twist. In fact, I don’t even think I should call it a full on twist. More like lime (abi na lemon) added to the water…
-Predictability: [0 out of 5] …so.. Yes! if you can predict the average Ghanaian movie, I have no doubt that you should be able to tell where this story is going and you will find that it infact is where it goes.
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] It’s a three part movie with an interesting enough storyline, executed in a manner that is better than average for a movie of it’s time. So I’d say it was a job pretty nearly well done. There were however many unnecessary scenes within the movie in my opinion.
-Acting quality: [2 out of 5] Kalsum Sinare at her absolute worst in this movie. A little too robotic. A little too forced. Just lacking that flow of ‘naturalness’ (is that even a word?). Van and Nadia’s performances in this movie had improved a bit from their performance in the movie “Beyonce: The President’s Daughter” but there was still plenty of room for improvement. Juliet Ibrahim… before before…. She was not able to pull off the acting in this movie is all I have to say. Introducing Helen Asante whom we all now know as Ivy from the Adams Apples Series.
-Setting: [3 out of 5] There were actually some sets that were quite grand. But the rest did not measure up so…
-Costume/Make-Up: [3 out of 5] Samira Yakubu steady killing it (I wonder if this is a he or a she)
-Props and Graphics: [2 out of 5] Ok
-Video Quality: [2 out of 5] Ok
-Audio Quality [3 out of 5] Better audio than the average Nigerian movie made in the same time period
-Soundtrack: [4 out of 5] Nicccceeeee
-Musical Score: [3 out of 5] Nicely done
