David and Agatha Kalu are blessed with a son David Junior (DJ) who has a medical disorder known as AUTISM – a developmental disorder that is characterized by impairment in communication, social interaction and behaviour. Agatha spends her time and energy trying to give her son the best love she can but her husband is frustrated with the demands and distractions that come from caring for DJ. To work out his frustrations, he starts having affairs and eventually walks out on the family. To compound issues, Agatha loses her job.

Pointless plot points
Autism in Nigeria is not a well talked about or even well-known subject but here comes a film that not only addresses it respectfully – no juju involved , thank God – but also does not shy away from the realities of a parent with an autistic child. Coupled with its fresh takes on romance and friendship and its wiliness to give its ‘good’ characters flaws, this has rocketed straight to number 1 in my list.
Chioma Akpotha plays a mother driven to her wits end by her cheating husband, her pervy boss and her autistic child. The storyline is interesting and very refreshing, the characters are ones you actually care about and the so-called romance was just perfect. It was original, relatable and educational. What more would you want? The characters were actually given flaws, especially the musician character, and the husband rightfully got what was coming to him. The plot is just so mature but still managing to be fun. The storyline about the husband on the other hand took up too much time, and was basically pointless.
Acting wise, I want to single out Ebele Okaro, her energy was off the charts and I have noticed that she has been taking roles that are far away from the usual mother role. Chioma Akpotha really sold it as a mother driven to her wits’ end and the little boy was just beautiful. He played the role so well and was so believable. It was very well acted with well-respected actors who brought energy and believability to the role.
In conclusion, I would recommend this to everyone, it has it all. Great production values, great directing, great acting, great message, I am really loving this and you would too. Musical therapy is very effective to in helping autistic children to communicate, so the movie is true to life.
Please do you know where I can find the movie? i need it for a school research I’m working on.
