“Losing My Religion” is an upcoming short film directed by Damilola E. Orimogunje and is based on Nigerian/US-based author Nike Campbell-Fatoki’s story of the same name from an anthology of short stories titled “Bury Me Come Sunday Afternoon”. Orimugonje is known for his previous two short films – Mo (a drama about a teenage girl who became a sex-slave and is fighting to regain her freedom) and Family (a film on the alarming rate of suicide in the society).
The film, “Losing My Religion” is about religious fanatism and revolves around a young boy who is failed by all the institutions (church, family, school) he believes in.
The movie, which is scheduled to start its festivals run this year, stars Omowunmi Dada, Brutus Richard, Toyin Oshinaike, Fred Idehen, and newcomer lead, Ihiechineke Anthony.
