COMING SOON: The Weekend

Written by Egbemawei Dimiyei Sammy, Vanessa Kanu and Freddie O Anyaegbunam Jr, The Weekend is a suspense movie with dramatic moments. The movie follows an orphan girl, yearning for family, who visits her fiancée’s seemingly idyllic family and discovers their sinister secret.

The gripping Nigerian thriller will keep you guessing until the very last moment with its unique take on the age-old question; what’s wrong with the in-laws?

Directed by Daniel Oriahi, the film’s cast includes Bucci Franklin, Uzoamaka Aninuoh, Keppy Ekpenyong-Bassey, Gloria Anozie-Young, James Gardiner, Meg Otanwa and Brutus Richard.

The Weekend is produced by Uche Okocha and executively produced by Babatunwa Aderinokun.

The Weekend has been included as an Official Selection of the 2024 Tribeca Festival. The 2024 Tribeca Festival will take place from June 5 to June 16, 2024, in New York City.
