-Story: [2 out of 5] In a million years, I’d never have thought that I am actually capable of, not only starting this movie, but actually finishing the entire thing. Why? Because it is no secret that I am not a fan of Nollywood comedy. But looking at the cast line up and seeing the poster, I was 100% certain that I knew what was coming in this movie….
-Originality: [0 out of 5] …and I was right! The movie went exactly as all movies like this do and…
-Predictability: [0 out of 5] …it ended exactly like every movie of the kind does.
-Directing/Editing: [0 out of 5] The movie is in four parts. Now see, what I can not grab is this. Who told you 1) that you need to do a full entire scene flashback on a scene that we just saw 2 minutes ago? 2) that the rich man needs to go on five to fifteen different shopping trips for the family of the girl he’s trying to impress, before the viewer understands that he’s rich? All in all… I thought the cameraman was horrible and the movie needn’t have been that long. Needless to say, they spelled “ARANGEE” wrongly
-Acting quality: [3 out of 5] I did, however, love the cast of this movie (except Browny’s fake Americana accent). Mama G was painfully hilarious. Kenneth was to the point. Chioma was effortless. Nuella was amazing. Uche did his role justice. My only problems were the extras… horrid!
-Setting: [2 out of 5] Adequate
-Costume/Make-Up: [3 out of 5] I loved Nuella’s character’s marriage ‘asho-ebi’!
-Props and Graphics: [1 out of 5] I thought we had come way past the era of putting football in a woman’s belly and calling it pregnancy
-Video Quality: [2 out of 5] There were times in the beginning of the movie where the video would randomly pixellate.
-Audio Quality [2 out of 5] A bit inconsistent
-Soundtrack: [0 out of 5] WTF! (Where’s the fridge?) You call this a soundtrack?
-Musical Score: [3 out of 5] Ok
oh and i do not agree with Mama G’s quote may have been true in the past but not anymore
Yeah! I thought as much too. I was wondering whether she meant, we will still cook something for our husband as wives which .. yeah ofcourse but the husband will also enter the kitchen once in a while abi
lol i watched this and actually liked it i agree it was very predictable too
Yup! Indeed it was, but I guess that’s a given with Nollywood comedy
