Love & Lust
Chika Ike, Jimmy B, Luckie Lawson, Martha Ankomah, Ramsey Nouah
-Story: [3 out of 5] If it were possible to give this movie a rating of a 6 out of 5 for story, I would. The story is simple and straight to the point, yet it is still able to teach a lesson and all in two simple parts without seeming too forward.
-Originality: [2 out of 5] Looking at bits and pieces of the general theme of this movie, it is NOT original but when you look at the bigger picture, it probably can be classified as one of the most original movies of the year. Mainly because of the way the wife handles the issues facing her.
-Predictability: [0 out of 5] For the most part, Love and Lust, was very predictable
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] I had zero to no fault with the directing and editing of this movie. I think Jimmy B (whoever that is) did a great job, and so did Luckie Lawson (on left).
-Acting Quality: [1 out of 5] Alright, I am trying to become more positive nowadays. Seems like my reviews are getting a bit too negative so I’ll start off with the positives: Ramsey and Martha are great actors! Pheww, alright now on to the negatives. First of all, I’d like to add that I’m always happy to see Martha Ankomah in a different non-slutty role like she did in Stolen Love and this movie. However, it seems like she has gotten so accustomed to the facial expressions of a mean girl that even when she is not playing the role of a mean girl, her expressions still say the same. Control! Is the word. Some of the people in this movie, except Ramsey of course, are highly incapable of speaking proper English. Chika Ike was off in this movie, I am really beginning to love her less in each movie. Why? I do not know. And a few of the extras couldn’t act.
-Settings and Costumes: [3 out of 5] On point
-Video and Audio Quality [2 out of 5] There were a few audio flops here and there where it seemed like rain was falling, when it wasn’t. The video was on point.
-Soundtrack [0 out of 5] Horrid
And Luckie Lawson’s acting? I was waiting for your review on that :). I personally thought that the ending was a bit contrived, and could have been better.
Love the movie. When I got it, it was called Forbidden Fruit.
