‘No Apologies’ revolves around two siblings namely Patrick and Barbara. Out of love for his sister, Patrick roars like a hungry lion anytime he sees another man around Barbara. Barbara on the other hand, defends her brother like cub anytime she sees a lady showing the slightest sign of interest in Patrick. His gets people thinking and wondering whether the two siblings, who look more of lovers than mere brother and sister could be separated to find their individual loves

-Story: [1 out of 5] I found no point in this movie. Yes! Granted, there was a story in there but it wasn’t a story I was interested in. And in the 9 months it took me to finish the movie, I did not get any more interested in the story than I was in the beginning. The story might have been more interesting/endearing if it was done right but the level of production and general mismanagement did not help the movie’s cause.
-Originality: [0 out of 5] It’s definitely not the first incest story I’m seeing…. and I have a nagging suspicion that it won’t be the last either
-Predictability: [1 out of 5] Predictability is very dependent on the audience. For the general storyline, yes it was predictable. But as regards the end, it is very subjective
-Directing/Editing: [1 out of 5] The director could have done better work with the story at hand. Needless to mention the voice overs in this movie were a joke. Yvonne Okoro is thinking yet the voice that is used is not Yvonne’s voice! Someone forgot to tell me that when I think I think in a different voice (heck… I sound like Beyonce when I think)
-Acting quality: [1 out of 5] Again… Prince David Osei! Really? I mean, God must be really trying to punish me now. Why do all the movies from Ghana have to have this guy in ’em? Isn’t there any other actor? (now that I think about it, there probably isn’t) But hey! I’d take James Gardiner over Prince any day. In my honest opinion, Yvonne Okoro and Kofi Adjorlolo are the only actors in this movie. Prince David was a close second alongside Paulina Oduro, however, he manages to annoy me without doing anything at all (call that ‘skill’)! Everyone else needs intervention
-Setting: [3 out of 5] Adequate
-Costume/Make-Up: [2 out of 5] Was generally good except for the fact that most of the female extras probably only got the role because they consented to being half naked throughout the movie (I’m talking, females in bikinis that look like they are 9 months pregnant)
-Props and Graphics: [3 out of 5] OK
-Video Quality: [3 out of 5] Ok
-Audio Quality [0 out of 5] T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E!
-Soundtrack: [2 out of 5] Nice but it also tells the story
-Musical Score: [2 out of 5] …also used some songs by foreign musicians which were not credited at the end (i.e “I choose you” by Mario from the mall scene)
if i may ask, why do u rate this movie 4.8? give it 2.5 for total waste of time and money. poor poor poor, if u ask me.
Because unfortunately for me and due to my oversabi review system, I am compelled to not only deduct for things done wrong but also to reward for things done right
u have a point though, forgive me. i’m ghanaian so i wont be biased.
