Interesting storyline
-Story: [2 out of 5] At the beginning of the movie, I was a bit iffy about the story. Scenes seemed a bit redundant. Motifs seemed a little prolonged. It all seemed too repetitive for my liking but what kept me going was the knowledge that it was only two parts…… hold on… those last lines made it seem as if the movie was boring! It was not. Not at all! Don’t be fooled by the movie title… in fact, I don’t even see how the movie has anything to do with sex… that idea was probably only explored once or twice in the entire 2 and a half hours of this movie. It’s an easy watch and the scenes flowed (which is more than I can say about many movies nowadays). When I say ‘flow’, I mean the progression from scene 1 to 2 is so fluid in that you’re still engrossed in the actions of scene 1 at the time scene 2 comes around as opposed to recent movies where you can actually count the scenes.
-Originality: [1 out of 5] Eh… give or take… it could be considered original and unoriginal in some aspects
-Predictability: [0 out of 5] Predictable? Yes
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] Loved that it’s in two parts. What does the title have to do with anything though?
-Acting quality: [2 out of 5] There were only one or two extras in this movie and they were not so good at acting but that aside, on to the major actors. Ini Edo was phenomenal. I mean… that chic is something else. Junior Pope seems to be stuck in that same stereotypical ‘bad boy’ role (we thank God he broke out of that for “Twins on Fire“). Uche Jombo’s accent was really the WTF (Welcome To Facebook) moment for me… I’m not sure which was worse… Jim Iyke’s or hers. Eve Esin did an amazing job as the maid… sometimes one forgets that the babe sabi act something other than ashawo. Johnpaul alternates between making me want to stone him and ‘just tolerable’ for me. Ruth Kadiri did an amazing job with the script and her character.
