Wild Heart

This is a movie about women and their relationships. It tells the story of those who are truly in love and those who are deceptive; the men that patronize them and how well they deceive their husbands to please their boyfriends.

Wild Heart tells the story of three fortunate prostitutes and their journey from ashawo to wives (hence the title of the sequel, ‘heart of a wife’). A bit exaggerated in some parts, and stretched out more than it needs to be the storyline is a bit slow. It drags in many parts and delights in very few.
The movie was carried along by a few strong actors: Mercy, Ruth and Artus. It is no secret that I’m usually not one of Mr. Frank’s biggest fans but his rendition in this movie was good, and he carried his role well. Absolutely loved Ruth Kadiri’s rendition of a street girl; and this is definitely not the first time Mercy is acting good wife, or street girl.
Lest this spirals into a discussion on lack of diversity in our storylines which forces actresses to act (more or less) the same movie over and over again, back to the movie. We’ve already established that the storyline dragged a bit, and it goes without saying (from the synopsis and the above paragraph) that there really wasn’t much ‘new’ happening in the movie.
In summary, ‘Wild heart’ is a movie we’ve seen over and over again (if not as a whole then in parts) with a couple good actors and a fleet of mediocre actors. The storyline is easy to follow but the question really is ‘does anybody want to follow it?’ Not enough fire from scene to scene to hold the viewers attentions.
Then this is like one of the numerous movies I couldn’t watch to the end. If there is no suspense, no fire to keep me glued there from scene to scene, then, watch me walk away after a few minutes.
