Pregnant Oath
Ken Erics, Eve Esin, Prince Nwafor
A set of insecured teenage girls cajoled their boyfriends to take an oath to stay with them forever. Several years later, they outgrew their immature ways and wanted to move on but it will cost them their blood to break free from the shackles of the oath. An intriguing movie with loads of morals!

This could have been a really good movie. I could have been saying really good things about this movie. If. They. Had. Just. Cut. It. Down. Seriously, this thing has over three different storylines, only marginally connected to the main storyline. But it was still an entertaining watch.
The story follows a group of girls that coerce their boyfriends to enter into a blood oath promising to be together forever. As you can see, a very interesting story and it is in fact done very well, however to pad their four parts the filmmakers added more storylines to it. The story was just jam-packed with irrelevant nonsense. The characters were interesting though, and it had a very good sense of fairness. Those that coerced people into the oath were punished through their own hands. Seriously the stupid storyline about the fighting girls and all that extra drama was simply not needed. The middle where one girl cuts off another girl’s genitals was really rough to watch, it does get graphic.
The acting was okay. Certainly Ken Erics and Eve Esin delivered but the other girls I was more sceptical about. They were okay, but definitely show potential. The actress playing Bazooka was a thing of her own. But generally there is no one that will ruin the film and remove the immersion, there are no cringe worthy actors.
The visuals were crisp and clear but you can clearly see when editing was done. When the actors are being filmed from a distance, their mouths don’t fit to what they are saying, which is really very noticeable. The practical effects were ambitious and some of it paid off. The soundtrack was only one song but thankfully not used as much.
In conclusion, watch if you are bored. The story is not bad; the acting is not bad, it is just stuff full of padding. It would be something good to watch in the background. BTW- why did they call this move Pregnant Oath, the oath I get but Pregnant? Where did that come from.
