IT’S that time of the year again, where we look back at the year in movies!
But not just the year in movies, also the year in television, the year for actors, for our directors and everyone involved in Nollywood. We highlight the brights and best, and maybe even the worst and most questionable (actually probably not the worst because in nollywood that list could possibly be endless).
In the next few weeks as we close out the year, Nollywood Reinvented will be publishing all of these year in review posts tagged with “#2017Rewind”. So keep an eye out for them alongside our regular reviews and posts.
2017 has been an amazing year for the industry and as the year comes to an end there is still time for us to break many more records (that’s right, I’m looking at you TWP2). This year has seen the rise of many new talents and the further uplifting of some that were always there. The year has also seen many of our stars take on new endeavors and go from the front of the screen to the back. Some have decided to try their luck in nollywood this year and some have failed and some have really really failed. We have seen many filmmakers stick to the formula and we have seen many stray from it. We have seen successes, we have seen falls. We have tried new things and pushed new boundaries. This is the year in review for 2017!
However, before we get into all of that we want to thank you for reading NR this year. To say it has been a tremendous year for us would be underplaying it but it is because of you. Thank you for reading. Thank you for commenting. Thank you for sharing. And a big thank you for being a part of the community and keeping the nollywood dialogue going.
