“Richard! All my life, I’ve seen so many foolish men but I’ve never ever seen such a huge combination of stupidity and foolishness in one single man…. But today, I’ve seen it in you”
The movie Beauty is divided into four parts. The sequel is called beauty forever (what a name) in some places and just beauty in other places. Beauty 1-4
-Story: [0 out of 5] I started watching this movie in July, I think 2011 and I am finishing it today on October of the same year. That is four months. It took me four months to finish this movie. No! It’s not because it was long and I decided to watch each part in a month. Neither was it because I did not have the movie, the movie just stunk. Period! It was boring. Yes it had a moral but it was…. annoying for lack of a better word. After watching this movie my expression was “What a piece of crap excuse for a movie”
-Originality: [0 out of 5] I don’t think making a movie about a house-girl that sleeps with her boss is very original so… No!!! it was not original
-Predictability: [0 out of 5] Highly
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] Good
-Acting Quality: [0 out of 5] A lot of people couldn’t act in this movie, either that or the people who couldn’t act came on screen way to often (I think it’s the latter though). I now realize why some people are always acting miniature roles in movies and when you see them in these brief roles they shine and we wonder why no one ever gives them larger roles. Truth be told, it is much easier to shine when your only line in a movie is “yes boss! The container has arrived” as opposed to playing a lead role. Walter Anga was this for me in this movie. I think that his acting is really weak (to put in nicely), plus it’s excruciatingly boring. I will not lie, I fast forwarded all his scenes so I can’t tell you if it was believable or not but it was definitely annoying and BORING!!! Annie Macaulay was not doing it for me in this movie at all, neither was Chika Ike. There was this aura of fake in all their scenes. Angela Okorie, however, is a strong actress.
-Settings and Costumes: [2 out of 5] Annie Macaulay’s corporate outfit in the first few scenes, the skirt in particular, looks like it was flown in from the 80s specially for the occasion. It was wrong on many different levels.
-Video and Audio Quality [2 out of 5] Ok but the night scenes could have been clearer.
-Soundtrack [2 out of 5] Good
