Bed of Roses
Majid Michel, John Dumelo, Martha Ankomah, Adjetey Anang, Ebi Bright, Yvonne Okoro, Luckie Lawson, Joselyn Dumas
In the scene where Adjetey is proposing to Martha, he has the ring mailed over to her house in a package and she sees the ring then she asks "Is he proposing?" STOP!!!! Rewind.... It is a ring, idiot!!!. No, he is not proposing. He is supposing.

-Story: [2 out of 5] To be honest, considering all the hype that this movie had/generated, it really wasn’t that great of a movie. It is basically everyone trying to outsmart each other (what you would expect of a movie with Martha Ankomah in it). Nothing fantastic in my opinion. The movie was pretty well scripted, intricate but also not very realistic (I’ll address this under directing/editing)
-Originality: [0 out of 5] The first few parts of the movie did not seem very original to me, they did remind me a lot about the movie “Spanner” from a couple years back starring Chinedu Ikedieze, Oge Okoye and Nkem Owoh (to be honest, I thought spanner was more entertaining and less slutty). Then the rest of the parts of the movie were a bit reminiscent of Frank Rajah’s the game.
-Predictability: [3 out of 5] It’s not a very predictable movie. Unless ofcourse you are a thinker like me and begin to wonder what else the story could have to say, in which case you can pretty much predict the gist of it. But I highly doubt that anyone predicted the end.
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] ***SPOILER*** It seemed to me that there were a lot of coincidences in this movie. Like how everyone’s script happened to miraculously play out scene for scene. Or how Martha Ankomah walks into her ex-friend’s house and throws money around and all of a sudden a bunch of girls troop in already wearing club (/slutty) clothes. One thing I couldn’t understand however was Yvonne Okoro’s plot. If Yvonne’s character was planning the entire thing and was simply acting by playing along with Martha’s script. Then why does she keep on acting the role even when no one is watching? What does she gain by continuing to run from a fake police that she hired and even proceed to stealing a person’s car when no one is watching her???
-Acting Quality: [2 out of 5] Most of the actors in this movie could act. I think Adjetey’s a phenomenal actor and very much above this role. I think Martha was overacting in some scenes and I do not even need to point out which scenes because I believe it was blatantly obvious when she was overdoing it. Another problem with Martha’s acting was that the doctor said she was paralyzed from her neck down then why is she still moving her hands? I do, however, have to give her props for her acting in the paralyzed parts when Yvonne was beating her up.
-Settings and Costumes: [3 out of 5] Good
-Video and Audio Quality [3 out of 5]On point
-Soundtrack [3 out of 5] None that I recall.
please help me get bed of roses sound tracks(all)
Oh I forgot to add…Martha’s role made this movie even more spectacular. The writer and actors deserve an award for each person. And, Adam’s Apples…a must watch series, loved it!!!
Best movie ever, HANDS DOWN!!!!! This movie and 4Play were the best movies I ever watched!
i think yvonne okoro played those parts (running from fake police etc) to deceive us the viewers…..its called drama/intrigue…..everyone did a good job, esp. martha ankoma
These movies always come in multiple parts. Its hard enough for me to keep up with two disks let alone four and sometimes eight. Arrrgh!!!!!!
