Spiritual Engagement
Desmond Elliot, Uche Jombo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Ashley Nwosu, Dan Denovo, Chukwujekwu Blossom, Chinwe Isaac
She has been tormented by an evil spirit in her daily life which makes her restless. Her spiritual engagement continued for far too long until she got pregnant for Mr. Okafour, her husband. It's time for her to deliver but it's a do or die affair. Is she going to lay down her life for her baby as sacrifice?. - O.N.
The movie, Spiritual Engagement, is divided into two parts. Spiritual Engagement 1 & 2. (However, it didn't seem very conclusive to me so I suspect there is more, yet I hope there isn't. Let me know if you find a sequel)
2011
-Story: [3 out of 5] This is indeed a lovely story and was definitely captivating enough to keep me going. My point? It was a good story. lol.
-Originality: [3 out of 5] Most definitely. Most definitely. Without a shadow of a doubt.
-Predictability: [3 out of 5] You know, I semi feel like there’s another part. It wasn’t really conclusive. And I predict that in the next part, Kalu will probably marry the Rose character. Ashley Nwosu’s character (RIP) will probably be explored further and maybe then Artus and Biola will show up. But as of now, it wasn’t very predictable is all I have to say.
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] Like I said before, this review will probably be revised if I find out that there is a sequel to this but in the meanwhile. I like to point out that Artus Frank and Biola Ige were listed in the cast but were nowhere to be found within the actual movie (Not like I’m complaining, I was actually quite enthused by this, needless to say). And there was this one scene after the ghost appears to Kalu and Uche in the bedroom at night and the next morning, I think, they both sit in the living room with the TV on to talk about it. And I couldn’t help but notice what was playing on the TV. It was the video of Desmond Elliot’s song. For those who haven’t seen it, I’m not sure if it’s on YouTube but there is definitely a video of Desmond Elliot in trad singing christian igbo songs (there were probably a couple yoruba ones in there too and English). To me, the irony of the entire situation is that Desmond is actually in this movie. Some minor faults, were spelling errors in the beginning of the movie. Misspelled Artus’ name and the poster says SPIRITUAL ENLARGEMENT (lmao)
-Acting quality: [2 out of 5] Biola and Artus are yet to arrive so the acting was pretty good. Except that ghost guy. The ghost was one razz looking igbo man like that, that just kept grabbing his groins and whining his waist around like a hula dancer in his first appearance. I can’t believe that they actually hired Desmond Elliot just to play the doctor. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not in any way disappointed. I’d rather him than Olisadebe Chike from Days of Gloom. Kalu Ikeagwu. I can not over emphasize how simply amazing this guy was. Breathtaking performance of a typical igbo man especially from a guy with a natural British accent. I loved it, I would have made a video for every scene except for two things: 1) Copyright laws 2) Extreme laziness on my part. That is all. O and before I forget, the guy who played Kalu’s office friend was pretty good for a new talent. Well done.
-Setting and Costume: [3 out of 5] On point
-Props and Graphics [2 out of 5] Great job on props. I think the ghost graphic was a bit crappy. But oi! I’ve seen worse.
-Video Quality [3 out of 5] On point.
-Audio Quality [0 out of 5] I’d say “could use some work” but actually, could use a lot of work
-Soundtrack and Musical Score [3 out of 5] No soundtrack. Good score.

Overhype movies with Uche Jombo in them you say, well that’s a false accusation…… I only overhype movies with Genevieve or Majid in them lol.
You say it’s not original at all. Well that’s all fair. Just tell me another movie with a similar storyline and I’ll concede defeat
