-Story: [3 out of 5] I actually liked the story of Naked Ambition and was not very into the story for Amazing Grace. My question really is “What does the title have to do with the movie?” Naked Ambition, maybe. But Amazing Grace, what?
-Originality: [0 out of 5] I originally had thought that the movie was original and very different, that was in Naked Ambition. Now when the movie proceeded to Amazing Grace it got stereotypical and lost originality. Sometimes, African movies destroy their quality with sequels.
-Predictability: [2 out of 5] To a certain extent it was and then again it wasn’t, so it was one of those movies. I personally called dibs on the wrong bad guy so I failed in predicting it.
-Directing/Editing: [3 out of 5] The directing and editing was on point. No one was trying to insult my intelligence but I am still taking points off for the irrelevant title.
-Acting Quality: [2 out of 5] I learned a couple of things from this movie the first being that Tonto Dikeh can roll. No, I am not talking about P-Square kind of roll-it. No I mean roll on the floor, and I learnt this during the deliverance scene, but omo the girl fit roll sha. The second thing I learnt from this movie was that there is a lot of untapped talent in Nigeria take for instance the Barry Luke character. He was given a supporting lead actor role and the guy nailed it. Guess what the third thing I learned from this movie was? That the african movie industry is about to add another light skinned actor to their array of Majids, Vans and Artus’. Barry is the light skinned guy on the bottom right of the Naked Ambition poster. The fourth thing I learned (yes I learned a lot from this movie o) not from the movie but from looking it up was that Sam Dede is now a pastor? What? Fifth thing I learned, Tonto Dikeh plays a better stammerer role than Van Vicker, just saying.
-Setting and Costume: [2 out of 5] On Point
-Video and Audio Quality [2 out of 5] Great
-Soundtrack [2 out of 5] I don’t remember any soundtrack and in my books, that is great. Less is More.
