-Story: [2 out of 5] It’s an interesting enough storyline…
-Originality: [0 out of 5] …especially considering that it has that usual Patience Ozokwor undertone to it. You know the ‘evil queen doing something dubious for the sole benefit of herself alone’. One of the main differences between this one and the average Mama G version is that Mama G is in that one and she is not in this one
-Predictability: [0 out of 5] Toss a coin! What do you think?
-Directing/Editing: [2 out of 5] It’s a movie in two parts (which in itself is an outstanding accomplishment). Not that much apparent cinematography but no glaring faults.
-Acting quality: [2 out of 5] The extras were ridiculously horrible… and so was Biola Ige. Udolisa Uzomma is beginning to grow on me. The last I saw him (that I recall) was in “Life Incidence“. I think he is a good actor and needs to take on more serious roles. Emeka did his thing right, I’m not even going to go in again about how I believe that many of these actors are killing themselves in supporting roles. John Dumelo did as John Dumelo does. Ini was poignant. Ngozi was effortless. Chioma was brilliant… it seems she was attempting to return to the screens with “Firebrand” and “Days of Gloom” but then she disappeared again.
-Setting: [3 out of 5] Good! Same palace used in “Where Love Lies“
-Costume/Make-Up: [3 out of 5] Costumes were definitely (in the words of Naeto C… “10 over 10”). Loved the royal attire for EVERYONE in this movie. For once, they actually looked like legitimate attires for people in the palace. Everyone from the prince to the guards to the maids was outfitted properly. Ngozi and Ini though looked exceptionally stunning.
-Props and Graphics: [3 out of 5] Good
-Video Quality: [2 out of 5] Ok
-Audio Quality [3 out of 5] Not bad
-Soundtrack: [3 out of 5] Loved it
-Musical Score: [3 out of 5] Nicely done
