"How do I explain that my entirety and feelings is tied to the feelings, physical pains and emotion of someone else. Strange, isn't it? But True! Maybe God, like Muzinda also believes, is teaching me lessons that I'm yet to learn. And until then, I pray he keeps me alive to learn it." - Ginger (played by Mercy Johnson)

-Story: [3 out of 5] Just like I did the first Ruth Kadiri screenplay I saw, “Ladies Men/Love & Sacrifice“, I absolutely loved this movies storyline. It was different. It was entertaining. I actually wanted to find out what happened at the end. It did not disappoint but most importantly, it had a story. Not like all those babez movies that are made just so that they can say that a movie was made. The only thing that I was wondering about at the end of this movie was Mercy/Ginger’s pregnancy. Seeing as all those doctors confirmed her ‘not pregnant’ how was she suddenly pregnant in the end and able to give birth? Nobody clarified. And what is this ‘infancy’ thing that Mercy and Ruth have going together? I swear I googled it left right and center and I got nothing… I’m most likely spelling it wrong but that’s because the doctors in the movie were pronouncing it like that.
-Originality: [4 out of 5] Nope…. never ever ever have I seen a movie that even resembles this movie before (and is still able to end it honorably without any mention of the usual witchcraft and ‘enemies in the village that don’t want to see you succeed’)
-Predictability: [4 out of 5] The movie was new in many aspects hence it wasn’t open to interpretation in many ways
-Directing/Production: [3 out of 5] It’s a long movie but it’s long for a reason… most scenes in the movie were actually necessary (except all the unnecessary sex scenes after Ginger supposedly died). No apparent cinematography but regardless… a job well done
-Acting quality: [2 out of 5] In the beginning, Mercy’s character’s maltreatment of her hired aides was supposed to be highlighted so Mercy had to play the rich arrogant female boss role. Personally, I think Mercy tried but she could have done a better job at it. Everytime she attempted to be obnoxious to her servants, I kept remembering how Genevieve played that same role in movies like Bursting Out, Felicima and Silent Scandals (dayum… Genevieve has played that role too many times sha) and how she played it so much better. The comparison can not be helped. Asides from that aspect of her character, I think Mercy did a great job in her rendition of Ginger the confused orphan. My opinion of Artus Frank remains the same with no indications of a change coming any time soon. He had very little speaking scenes in this movie, and I loved him in all the scenes where he was mute. Chika Ike has one expression… just one and she uses it for everything: vexated, happy, conniving, jealous, vengeful, hungry, full… argh! Haba… change face na? Her general gra gra aggravates me for some reason… I’ll take Queen Nwokoye anyday. And her endless “you know what?”‘s. Am I the only one that notices these things? There is this signature Chika Ike manner of saying “You know what” that she does in every movie when she is trying to get her amebo on just like there is this signature Mercy Johnson way of saying “Nooo” that she does in every movie. Ruth Kadiri carried out her role exquisitely, I didn’t at any point doubt her character or her performance. Extras were horrendous (especially that friend of Chika Ike’s character)
-Setting: [4 out of 5] On point
-Costume/Make-Up: [3 out of 5] Ok
-Props and Graphics: [2 out of 5] Mostly ok… the only thing that bothered me was the scene in which Chika Ike is getting arrested. Two policemen walk into this tiny little 10 by 10 looking hospital room in which Chika has a tiny pistol pointed at Artus’ chest. And one of the policemen has an AK47 looking gun that he is not even capable of holding (e be like say the gun outweigh am… so the entire time that he is supposed to be arresting Chika, he is playing a weight balance game with the gun… who will throw who down first?)
-Video Quality: [3 out of 5] Ok
-Audio Quality [3 out of 5] Ok
-Soundtrack: [2 out of 5] Tells the story
-Musical Score: [4 out of 5] Nicely done
